The first ± 500 kV DC convert transformer, TBEA Shenyang Transformer Group Co.,Ltd undertook and produced for the national key project---- the second DC transmission project convert station from Guizhou to Guangdong, achieved a qualified pilot on July 23, 2006. It is the first time that a Chinese enterprise independently designed and manufactured the ± 500 kV DC convert transformer, and its successful test marks that TBEA Shenyang Transformer Group Co., Ltd is fully capable of producing its own high-quality products of ± 500 kV DC, and become the firs domestic enterprise to achieve a independent R & D ± 500 kV DC products.
